Now he's being asked to do something 65 stories or less. Is this a payoff for accepting the bankrupt official process? http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/6982.htm tells that officials are going ahead with the intent of wasting Downtown recovery subsidies on keeping the Bank of America project in Midtown,on land confiscated from unwilling sellers to help the would-be developers. http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/letters/7017.htm is Imagine New York's defense against charges it had an agenda...but they certainly reached out to those who wanted things not to be the way they were. http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/7463.htm is a recent storiy on Silverstein's heavy legal bills. If he can't afford to build what should be built...we have to make sure the right kind of thing does get built... not the wrong thing with public money!
